Mayor Gun-Grab Bloomberg Strikes again.

There are about 3000 concealed gun permits allowed in New York City. Mayor Bloomberg bodyguards, of course, are among them. As are bodyguards for other elite New Yorkers. However ordinary, honest citizens should not be allowed to own handguns, according to the mayor. He in fact specifically prosecuted a man who defended his home and family from a break in using a hand gun and made him serve jail time. What more can be said about Bloomberg than this? He believes he and his friends should have the protection afforded by a hand gun, but not you and me.

Of course he also believes your private property and tax dollars should go to his billionaire friend, Bruce Ratner, so is this a surprise?

NYC Mayor Sues Va. Gun Shops
Morning Edition, May 18, 2007 · New York City Michael Bloomberg blames Virginia for some of his city's violence. Bloomberg is suing six Virginia gun shops. He says people buy guns too easily there and ship them north. This week, gun enthusiasts responded in Annandale, Va. They had a drawing to give away free guns. One of the winners of the "Bloomberg Gun Giveaway" was asked what message he'd send the New York mayor. The man responded with an obscene gesture.

Of course the Mayor is unwilling to address the real issues about crime, so he looks for an easy scapegoat. In fact the mayor does everything that the liberal press will laud him for, but nothing substantial to really address issues especially 'boring' non press worthy ones like, oh, infrastructure.

Firearms, in my opinion, should be like a fire extinguisher - it is something you never hope to have to use but nonetheless, should keep one in your house. As the LA riots proved, the police can't be everywhere at once. As VA shootings and 9-11 proved, passively sitting around is not the solution. Passive resistance works with civilized British colonial authorities, not with madmen.

With the increasing centralized authority and increasing chaos created by open borders, you may have more opportunities then you care for.
