Markowitz Gone Beserk?

One thing touched on in the Unity session last Saturday was need the for community board reform. This struck me as odd since, by and large they stood up to the ESDC, Pataki and Bloomberg ...and now the reason for reform is clear Mole 33 reports :

Markowitz is now showing that nasty, vindictive side as he fires members of Community Board 6 who failed to blindly support Markowitz's master, Bruce Ratner.
Like the ESDC, and Landmarks commission, and well everything in NY politics- things have gotten so corrupt that all of the checks and balances put in place are meant to be nothing more than show - political theatre to rubber stamp projects that benefit a small clique of developers and other well connected groups.

Markowtiz, as Mr. Mole pointed out, is something of an offish clown, but it seems, also a devisive and vindictive one. He ran virtually unopposed, which isn't so much a reflection of his popularity but rather, the level of corruption in local politics.

Liberals like Mole33 might be shocked by Marty now...but some of us on the right noticed Markowitz stank from day one:
Battle of Brooklyn
The new borough president is ignorant--and proud of it.

Brooklyn's new borough president, Marty Markowitz, appears to be one of those modern-day politicians uneasy about the Founding Fathers. Within two weeks of taking office, he had a portrait of George Washington removed from his office wall, where it had long been on display. Washington was merely an "old white man," and the office, Mr. Markowitz said, needed a "diversity" makeover. The portrait, a reproduction of a famous Gilbert Stuart painting, now leans against the wall in a little-used meeting room.

You're a very small man Markowitz, and I am not talking about your physical size.
