New York Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg is prepared to spend an unprecedented $1 billion of his own $5.5 billion personal fortune for a third-party presidential campaign, personal friends of the mayor tell The Washington Times.

I wonder how much of Bloomberg's curious behavior (like giving 200 mIllion to Billionaire Bruce Ratner) is a result of this ill-conceived campaign....exactly whom does a pro-Iraq war, open borders candidate like Bloomberg hope to appeal to? The traditional third party voters - those disgruntled with Dems and Repubs? Well he certainly isn't going to appeal to libertarians, is he?
