Swastika scrawled on Columbia bathroom follows noose incident

MANHATTAN. Two days after a noose was found on the door of a black professor’s office at Teachers College, anti-Semitic graffiti was found in a bathroom at Columbia University.

98% chance that this is hoax...but even if it wasn't - grafitti written in a bathroom is front page news?

Needless to say the 'reporter' doesn't even have the common sense to speculate about his 'big' piece - that it may be fake (Columbia at first refused to turn over survelliance cameras concerning the noose 'incident') , that it is highly unlikely that some neoNazi movement is about to break out of Columbia anytime soon, and that its probably self-inflicted. I notice all the comments trying to link it with conservatism, which, I think gives you some idea of the view of these 'liberals' and why they would be so intent on trying to fake such 'crimes', while of course ignoring real crimes.

If it does turn out to be fake, should the punishment be as harsh as if it were 'real' - Grafitti is often celebrated in the New York Times, as 'art' and the 'artists' are never prosecuted - it would interesting to see if, for example a suspect was caught who was white, male conservative -they would probably want to put him away for 5+ years - but if it were a liberal trying to make a point? No charges would probably be filed.
