The Knickerblogger "insider"

I am hardly privy to the ins and outs of New York City politics, but over Easter dinner, I asked someone who was what is Bloomberg's motivation behind the building boom? (the person remarked that him and Doctroff mapped out every block in the city and figured out the air rights) I have speculated that it's his 'Wall Street" mentality - short term profit to prop up the numbers, and reap the benefits, but what is the benefit for Bloomberg?

The answer: Power. By creating a 'boom' no matter how false, no matter how damaging to the long term growth it gives the mayor a huge bargaining chip with the state and federal government and can open big doors for Mike. So in some way's were' all making an involuntary contribution to his next campaign.

ha! You'll be happy to know I spent the better portion of the day building a railroad with my friend's son and playing hide and seek with their two year old daughter, reading "the cat and the hat" over easter ham, having a glass (well, several) and discussing music we've been listening to, other projects i have been working and books we've been reading, all put to paper in my diary with a fountain pen.

Yuo really make me happy.
I see you and I have several things in common, as love for history and music, reading books, and children.
I love fountain pen !don't you feel when you write with them is when you really can see your caligraphy?
you know, my mother(as a professor at soul and not only in class) she started a pen collection in th 50's,when she started dating my father, and one day they were travelingand she lost the box with her pen,she was so sad, but my father didn't let her give up so they start the collection again.
She had fountain pen with ships and water, with fishes bodies, with Chinese boys heads, amazing!
My parents are collectors,lol,really.
He collect trains, war tanks, watches and all the pieces made by me since I was 5 lol ( only child and artistic)
No wander why I have more than 100 pair of shoes (and I use them) but be happy ,no even 1 pair of Birkenstock.
I had nightmares last night, you put my first smile inthis beautiful sunny day.

There is something about fountain pens that inspires creativity, i think I always draft anything important in fountain pen first.

Your collection: regarding handbags in general: I never understood the particular female fascination with that item, but over overall rather colorful and nice, I am guessing they are much more vivid and livley in real life- its a hard item i think to gt a sense of via the internet....

ribbons are the materials used by my daugther to make flowers.
Opera? that the name of one of my bags collections, nothing to do with the flowers.
I found you quite friendly about creativity, I think I was wrong expecting you at least to recognize that there is creativity in what we do, even if you don't understand the practical purpose or even if you don't like it.
Sorry to bother you trying to share,I won do it again.

you weren't bothering me. I said that I liked them and that they were creative and lively...I was only saying that I imagine they would be much more vivid in person - i only mentioned in passing that I don't collect handbags or pay much attention to them - this is an honest answer - would you prefer a lie? of course not - so what what i was saying in the venacular 'i'm a guy that doesn't take much interest in handbags, but as hangbags go, these are nice"

and by the way, you should be very happy that you do something you love and make a living at it -this is a blessing many don't have!

!!!sorry if it brings a smile to my face.....but you have the exact temperament of a Brasilian girl I used to know...
anyway, imagine you wrote a poem in french.I can read a little french but i am far from fluent - so i might say - i think it is probably beautiful, but how can i judge if it is in a language that i don't now?

READ YOUR OWN WORDS.
If this is the way you think you are supportive... I think you need to revise your way.
You don't need to be a fashion authority and I wasn't expecting you to give me a professional feedback,if I want that,I contact the fashion critics at FIT or Vogue magazine.
I don't know your Brazilian friend but believe me, I grew up with severe teachers at home,When I was 4,yes 4, my mother teached me that love has nothing to do with discipline and believe me, my mother wasn't loved at the University because she was cute and sweet, but rather because she believe in the process of learning and teaching from excellency.
Believe me,"La vie on rose" is far from my personality, not in vain my friends come to me when they need a loving but objective point of view.
I don't know your Brasilian friend but as a woman I think that no many of my gender would be able to confront a man with your personality standing straight, usually women tend to play victim as a tactic and blame a man like you ,to me ,that would be an insult to my own inteligence and to the inteligence of the one in front of me.
One of the main reasons I smile in gratefulness every single morning is because I recognize the blessing I have doing what I love and loving what I do.
And it didn't start yesterday, I am 40 years old and I started writing prose at 4,drawing at 6, playing flute at 7,and taking tayloring classes at 10,reading Shakespeare and Poe at 11,believe me, I had live my entire life blessed.
There must be a reason why they used to kill new born women born in the year of the fire horse in ancient China.
WAY TOO MUCH TO BE A VICTIM,I could say "that dress doesn't fit me" I do prefer my sexy black one, with my pearl necklace and 3 1/2 " heels.
I can be as sweet as honey from the organic pharms, but that will never compromise my strengh.
