Riot in Paris rail station

BBC reports:

Dozens riot in Paris rail station
Nine people have been arrested and two hurt after an argument over a ticket in a Paris metro station sparked riots.

Police used tear gas to disperse up to 100 youths at the Gare du Nord, one of paris' busiest stations.

Rioters smashed windows and attacked vending machines and shops, after objecting to the treatment of a man arrested for jumping a ticket barrier.

Interior Minister Francois Baroin labelled the events "unacceptable, intolerable violence".

"Nothing justifies what happened last night," he said.

Chanting sloguns

France saw its most severe riots for decades in autumn 2005 amid simmering tensions in suburbs with large immigrant populations. Presidential candidate Nicolas Sarkozy, who was interior minister at the time, caused controversy when he labelled the 2005 rioters "scum".

The youths who gathered in the Gare du Nord on Tuesday shouted insults about Mr Sarkozy.

They also chanted slogans of "police are everywhere, justice is nowhere" and "down with the state, police and bosses".

The violence was sparked when a 33-year-old man without a ticket jumped over a barrier.

Transport officials said the man punched two ticket inspectors who asked for his ticket as part of a routine inspection. He was eventually arrested by police.

But a growing crowd felt that the police had used excessive force to arrest the man, and their protest turned violent.

The riots spilled out into nearby streets, where rubbish bins and street signs were set on fire.

Anyone who visited France and Gare Du Nord in the early 90s would be shocked by the conditions in France and the idea a riot could erupt in one of Paris's most elegant rail stations. The bbc euphemistically reports it is 'youths' rioting...avoiding the hard reality that anyone living in or even briefly visiting France knows: the "youths' are almost all Algerian, North African, and overwhelmingly, if not all Muslim. In other words: The people chanting "down with the state" are not pimple faced college students who will eventually go on to brokerage houses on Wall Street (like many of the 'radicals' of the 1960s) but a completely different people who see the "state" of France as something alien and foreign to them: France is now in a permanent state of riots and chaos all dividing along ethnic lines.

Frankly put, violent crime, including rape specifically targeting of French women, is skyrocketing in once peaceful France. The solution of the EU elite is more of the same: Oh, ethinic groups are rioting, that means we need more diversity! Lower levels of immigration, with a heavy assimilation ethic and heavy screening for criminal elements, can be a stimulus for a country...but mass immigration, enough to create ethnic blocks can only lead conflicts of interest and struggles for economic resources and power.

Whether or not you agree about ideas of multiculturalism or not, it is clear they are not working and that brining masses of people into Western countries of vastly different socio-economic backgrounds isn't doing anyone any good. And if our countries destabilize, how are we going to be of any use to anyone? Of course destabilizing the national governments of Europe could be an overt goal of the EU, since it could justify more centralized power.

that is called KARMA.
France and the UK,colonize and made
slaves and servants of the people of those countries because you they
thought they were "superior" and those were"barbarians" or even closer in time and distance some powerful American country trai the armies of (Specially Chile, Uruguay and Argentina)
not to defend themselves but to torture and kill men, women and inocent children not even born in order to gain more "power" and stablish "order against revolutionaries and communists" and what goes arround comes arround.

The Moors/Turks tried to invade and conquer Europeans - in France (see the battle of tours) Spain and they got as far as Austria in 1637. 3 million europeans were enslaved by north africans (as late as the 19th century) the mongol hordes overran europe...i can go on.
point is Europe are not the only guilty ones - ask North Koreans about the Japanese.
But to imply that French women deserve to get raped or that the French 'deserve' it or its some sort of penance is exactly the root of the problem -no you didn't do this but there are plenty of multiculturalists who do.
However what is referred to as "imperial backwash" might happen to America - we might absorb millions of Iraqi immigrants and wind up with a similar problem to France's which would really be ironic.

I meant to say that many people who push multicultural agendas will say Europe "deserves' it revealing that they don't think multiculturalism is a virtue, but rather, a punishment.

and what do you think karma means?
oh I see usual BIG silence when I said that THIS coutry trained the South American and Central American armies to kill and torture more than what you can imagine.
Let me take your skin back to the 70's and begining of the 80's when being just teens we were AFRAID to go out at night because any corner the green Ford Falcon could stop, 4 big boys could put you and your friends against the wall( gun in your neck) and if your answers didn't convince them you could desappear FOR GOOD.
(Of course previous detention in a clandestine center were you were tortured till your bones became one with your flesh)
and what do you thing they are doing now in Irak and Guantamano?
Unfortunately this is not my mind,Is well known in the United Nations office, and they don't made upo the pictures.

and you don't need the Iraqi or any other inmigrant to commit the crimes here, you kill each other, without any multicultural help .
You are self sufficient on that.

no doubt. But creating ethnic blocks just exacerbates things.

as i said immigration in small numbers with assimulation and screening is probably a stimulus, but i have yet to see anywhere where mass unchecked immigration has done anyone any good. (the poorest americans are hurt by illegal immigration, for example since it undercuts wages for the poor.

regarding US intervention in South America, I think we should stay out of foriegn affairs - iraq for example - but as you rightfully said about violence here....violence would still be commonplace in South America and Mexico without US meddling.

wrong my dear.
Violence became more intense because of US meddling.
Mexico is a separate issue but South America believe me,was much more peaceful, and that's why my grandfather sold all his lands and properties in France, took his wife and 6 children and move to Argentina, same my grandfather from Portugal by himself, my other grand mother from Spain and my other grandfather from Italy.
So you can perfectly call me a genuine product of multiculturalism, or multi latinism :)and no wonder were my temper came from right?

the poorest americans
you mean the poorest people ALL OVER the American Continent?
because America is a continent not a country, this country's name is UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ,again OF AMERICA.
And the moment you forget that, you forget that you are part of a whole and not the whole of a part.
That one day the countries on this continent become one without frontiers, well,as you well know, the fouders were all masons, and they believe on that principle.
From Washington to Simon Bolivar or Jose de San Martin, they all fought for that.
Talking about poorest citizens of this country I have 2 things to say:
first, they suffer more from your companies sending their products to be made in China that from illegal inmigration, believe me, there's numbers about it.
Second, ask them if they will go and clean the toilets or cook for 12 hours in a restaurant kitchen and you'll see how many of them look at you like "what ? me? .
When I said to my ex american boyfriend that my plan for the future was to create a workshop for single mothers were they can learn a profession (by sewing and all manufacturing garment processes)with a kindergarden were they could have their kids close to them, he told me I was crazy, that that was too much work, that I rather send my stuff to be made in China.
And when participating in a fashion market I had the same conversation with a woman who send her stuff to be made in Vietnam -(of course because she paid for something already done and put here what she will pay for an hour of work in USA so she mark her prices like made here making a 600% profit and happily spend her summer in the Hamptoms while there's thousands of women all over this country who deserves and needs a decent job, guess what?
the organizers sent me a note telling me very nicely to shut my mouse or to vacant my space.Nice ah?

What temper?:)
Americans used to clean toilets and pick crops -and if there were no illegal immigration two things would happen - low wages for these jobs would rise and innovation would increase- japan for example has far more advanced harvesting equipment than the US.
Secondly, our population was 260 million in 195, now its 300 - how long can we keep bringing in cheap labor to maintain our livestyles? until there's no forests left? no farmland?

You know from my posts that I am not a blind cheerleader for america - we have lots problems and yes laziness, short sighteness and hypermaterialism are chief among them.

What temper?:)
that one that make you smile my dear anglo saxon :)

Many of the people who come illegally here, they do it because they can't survive anymore in their own place.
I don't like the fact that I have to pay for many of their childrens births with my taxes, but I think and strongly feel that the day the goverment of this country stop destroying the economies of smaller countries arround, less people is going to need to move in masse.
I do know that previous generations use to do it with great effort, but right now, there's way too much lazyness and greediness.
